This program is aimed at people who want to minimize their personal risk of neurodegenerative diseases or events such as dementia or stroke and improve their health in order to live as healthily in the long term.

Prediagnosis

As part of the pre-diagnostic process, a comprehensive online medical consultation with our medical director place approximately four weeks before your stay. During this consultation, he will discuss your individual needs and goals. Based on this consultation, we will define your personalized prevention package according to your specific requirements.

Diagnostics

Over two days at our Prevention Center in Vitznau, comprehensive diagnostics to analyze your current health status in detail.
From lab profiles and cardiovascular and metabolic tests to brain MRI, sleep, and cognitive analyses – we will thoroughly examine you to determine your current state of health.
Based on the diagnostics, we will work together to define annual goals to promote your health: from weight loss and increasing your VO2 max to learning a foreign language to stimulate and challenge your brain.

Our check-up includes the following services:

  • Neuroprevention Laboratory Differential blood count, electrolytes, trace elements, vitamins, kidney and liver function tests, thyroid hormones, lipid and blood sugar levels, inflammatory markers, dementia markers in the blood , including assessment by a doctor
  • Neuro-ultrasound (sonography of the brain)
  • Spiroergometry A perfomrance test on an ergometer precisely analyzes physical performance. It reveals how efficiently the heart, lungs, and metabolism work together. This allows for the determination of optimal training zones, the avoidance of over- or under-exertion, and the derivation of individualized recommendations for health, prevention, and performance improvement.
  • ECG
  • Body composition analysis Determines muscle mass, body fat percentage, distribution of muscle mass and fat across body segments, visceral fat, BMI and biological age.
  • Metabolic and nutritional analysis
  • Continuous blood glucose monitoring You will have the option of wearing a continuous glucose monitor that measures your blood glucose levels over several days. This will give us a comprehensive picture and show us how your daily habits affect your blood glucose levels.
